We've kept this round up of the best cat carriers of 2016 short and sweet for a reason. We only want to bring you the best of the bunch, which is why we have only featured 4 cat carriers.
We've shortlisted 4 of the best, high quality cat carriers available on Amazon that we believe to be up to the task of transporting our fury friends, be it car, aeroplane, boat or public transport.
You can be sure that based on real customer reviews, our selection of the best cat carriers are a cat above the rest!
Catit Design Cat Cabrio Carrier
The Catit Design Carrier is capable of holding a pet weighing up to 11.3kg, suitable for cats and smaller dog breeds. It's at the top of our list for many reasons, but one of the main reasons we like the Catit Carrier is due to it's design spec. It is designed with car travel in mind so is made to fit snug in the car seat, secured with a conventional seat belt. It's also airline approved, so you won't have to go buying separate carriers for different journeys, although we'd always recommend checking with your chosen airline before flying as some are pickier than others.
Another useful safety feature is the anti-skid textured flooring. Something that most carrier manufacturers haven't really considered previously, but which makes total sense as far as cat travel is concerned. With ample ventilation, built in food and water bowls and a clear front door for easy viewing, the Catit Cabrio Carrier really has our little travellers safety and comfort in mind.
An extra bonus worth noting is that it is delivered flat packed, taking less than 5 minutes to fix together.
Beeztees Transport Box Rhino
We love the Beeztees Transport Box and like how much ventilation it provides. The unit is made of plastic and has a clear door, allowing your cat to see out easily. One possible negative point we have noticed about this carrier is that the carry handle is very close to the top of the carrier. This leaves your fingers very vulnerable to possible scratch attacks during a vet visit, but generally well behaved cats on a short trip should do fine in this carrier. It's high quality design and value for money far out weigh the minor design flaw.
The Beeztees Transport Box allows your pet to travel in style and safety.
Teafco Argo Aero-Pet Carrier
If you're travelling with a cat that doesn't travel well, this carrier may be for you. It's discreet enough so that other people shouldn't really see that you are travelling with a cat, meaning you can discreetly wait for flights without strangers coming to say hello to your kitty every few minutes. It's clever stealthiness doesn't leave it shy of ventilation though. The grilled mesh allows air flow and for your cat to see out, but people can't easily see in.
It's handy strap lets you carry kitty around easily and comfortably and the carrier comes with side pockets big enough to fit any paper work or important documents in. Your cat will feel safe and secure in the carrier as they fit snugly inside, but it's design shape still allows for easy airport maneuvers.
PetEgo Pod iLove Pet Carrier
This pet carrier is stylish, roomy, comfortable and practical. It's the one we'd choose when travelling in the car or on public transport. It attaches easily to any seat belt and features carry handles and shoulder straps for easy transportation.
It's great for kitties that usually try and escape a carrier as it's scratch resistant and claw proof!
When you remove the top of the iLove Pet Carrier it can be used as a bed when on the go, and If you're feeling really adventurous, it even gives you the option to attach the carrier to a bicycle.
This multi use carrier gets the All Paws Abroad approval!
